What does your role involve?

I am a Senior Environmental and Climate Change Consultant and Environment Team Leader delivering environmental, climate adaptation and resilience projects across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. I lead multidisciplinary teams and manage projects from planning through to delivery, overseeing budgets, schedules, stakeholder engagement and reporting.

My work includes climate risk and vulnerability assessments, adaptation planning, environmental and social safeguards and environmental management planning for government, private sector, and donor-funded clients. I regularly coordinate with clients, technical specialists, subconsultants, and funding agencies to deliver practical, bringing their different perspectives together to deliver practical solutions that respond to each client’s needs.

The Samoa Climate Resilient Transport Project, which involved reviewing and updating a vulnerability assessment to support infrastructure investment planning, has had a significant impact on my career. As Deputy Team Leader, I supported project delivery by managing enquiries, coordinating information requests, preparing correspondence, monitoring progress reporting, and assisting with invoicing. I also worked with the Climate Change Specialist to prepare the Vulnerability Assessment (VA) and Climate Resilience and Road Strategy (CRRS) reports, integrating technical inputs from the wider study team.

Working with the Samoan Land Transport Authority and the World Bank gave me valuable experience of navigating different cultural and organisational approaches to project delivery. It strengthened my ability to work effectively in complex stakeholder environments and reinforced the importance of being organised, adaptable, and resourceful. The project enhanced my coordination skills and demonstrated the value of delivering practical, client-focused solutions in challenging and dynamic settings.

I want to turn complex climate and environmental challenges into practical solutions that help clients make better decisions and create lasting benefits for communities.
