Workplace concepts

Why choose a workplace concept?
Designed around the people who use it
Ambitious plans that can be delivered
Support throughout every project stage
A workplace concept aligned with your organisational goals
A workplace concept starts by asking what your building should contribute to your organisation. Do you want to attract and retain talent? Encourage knowledge sharing? Or make more efficient use of your available space? The answers determine how the workplace should be designed. An organisation that relies on project-based collaboration requires different spaces from one where confidential information is discussed every day. Likewise, a laboratory has very different requirements from a municipal office or corporate headquarters.
During collaborative workshops, we first define your organisational goals. This forms the basis of a workplace concept that supports the way people work today while remaining flexible enough to evolve as your organisation changes.
For many organisations, the workplace has become a strategic tool for attracting, developing and retaining talent. A well-designed workplace concept supports day-to-day activities while strengthening your organisation's identity and appeal.
One circular office concept for ABN AMRO
How do you create recognisable offices while maximising the reuse of materials? For ABN AMRO, we developed a circular office concept supported by a central database and a 3D design tool. This allows offices to be fitted out using existing building blocks wherever possible, giving furniture a second life. The result is a consistent workplace, reduced material use and a workplace concept ready for the future.

Making quality measurable
When do employees experience a workplace as successful? The answer goes beyond square metres alone. It is about productivity, wellbeing, knowledge sharing, collaboration and the overall user experience. We translate your ambitions into measurable performance targets. This ensures every design decision is not only attractive, but also evidence-based and measurable. We define targets for aspects such as natural daylight, healthy indoor air quality, good acoustics and a comfortable indoor climate. We also look at achieving the right balance between focus areas, meeting rooms, phone booths, project spaces and informal collaboration spaces. This performance-driven approach creates a workplace that supports hybrid working while providing an environment where people enjoy spending their time.
Working in a Paris Proof listed building
How do you transform a listed building dating from 1912 into an office where people genuinely want to work? For our Delft office, we designed a workplace that encourages collaboration, knowledge sharing and connection. By combining smart sustainable solutions with respect for the building's historic character, we transformed it into a Paris Proof workplace.
A workplace concept that continues to deliver value
A workplace concept is never truly finished. Organisations evolve, employees' needs change and buildings must adapt accordingly. That is why we also consider which decisions will continue to create value in the future. Through urban mining, we identify which materials and furniture can be reused. This reduces environmental impact while preserving the value of existing resources.
Once the workplace is in use, we measure how it performs in practice. Which spaces are most popular? Where do queues or bottlenecks occur? Are there enough collaboration spaces, or too many meeting rooms? By continuously monitoring performance and making adjustments where needed, the workplace concept continues to meet the needs of its users.
Increasingly, smart technology is becoming an integral part of workplace strategy. Sensors, building data and workplace insights provide a better understanding of how spaces are actually used and experienced. This enables organisations to continuously improve comfort, wellbeing, occupancy and energy performance. Technology is not an end in itself, but a practical tool for creating a better workplace experience.
A greener workplace for Royal FloraHolland
For Royal FloraHolland, one question guided the design: how do you translate a green brand into an inspiring workplace? Plants form an integral part of the workplace concept and are visible from almost every part of the office. Carefully designed acoustic solutions also create the right balance between collaboration and focused work. The result is a workplace that supports both the people who use it and the organisation's identity.
