The challenge

Our client needed to extend the malt intake at their brewery so it could accept a range of raw materials. Our activities ranged from permitting to building & utilities design and process integration. The challenge in the project was the time schedule and location.

Expertise in process integration was pivotal in the successful expansion of the brewery’s capabilities. We managed to navigate the intricacies of local regulations, adapt our designs to fit the unique space, and synchronise the new processes with the brewery’s established workflow, all within the tight schedule.

We set up a local team drawing on support from our South African office. The combination of local on-the-ground knowledge from our local partners with international expertise enabled us to fast-track activities. We engaged our local partners for architectural design, permit applications and environmental reports.
