Haskoning has been officially accredited as a Living Wage Employer in the UK, reaffirming our commitment to fair pay.

The accreditation, from the Living Wage Foundation, certifies UK businesses that are paying at least the real Living Wage – an independently calculated rate based on the actual cost of living. Unlike the government minimum wage, the real Living Wage is designed to provide people with the security and stability they need to meet everyday living costs.

Speaking about the accreditation, Jon Robinson, Managing Director of Haskoning in the UK said: “We are proud to join the growing movement of UK businesses championing fair pay. Our decision to become a Living Wage Employer underlines our commitment to creating meaningful and lasting social value across the UK.”

Jane Thomson, Social Value Lead at Haskoning, said: “By becoming a Living Wage Employer, we are reinforcing our belief that doing the right thing for people is also good for business. A real Living Wage strengthens local economies, enhances social mobility, and ensures that the benefits of our work are felt more widely.

“It also sends a powerful message to future employees and clients: that we are an organisation driven by fairness, inclusion, and opportunity. By embedding these values into the way we work, we demonstrate that our commitment to social value is not only about what we deliver, but how we deliver it – making us a trusted employer, partner, and supplier of choice.”

As part of this commitment, we have extended the Living Wage requirement into our UK supply chain. By working only with third-party contractors who also pay their employees the Living Wage, we are ensuring fairness and consistency across our operations.

The accreditation follows Haskoning being awarded Best Place to Work at the UK-based New Civil Engineer Awards in July – where the company was recognised for its UK policies including neurodiverse cover extension, fertility leave, and support for careers.
