Educational institutions have a responsibility to train future generations and play a leading role in addressing major societal issues such as sustainability.
For institutions seeking to achieve their sustainability targets, a well-thought-out design for buildings, facilities and spaces is essential. Through improved functionality, better interaction and smart use of data, buildings become both more sustainable and more user-friendly.Together with the architect and structural engineer, we designed a comfortable and energy-neutral circular education building for Tilburg University. This will prepare the university for the growing number of students in the coming years. The building is made of wood from the ground floor up and contains as much recycled material and demountable fixtures as possible, so that it can be reused in the future.
