As a Power BI Developer at Haskoning, you support our digital and data-driven strategy by delivering high-quality reporting and analytics. You work closely with stakeholders across the organisation and contribute to the further development of our corporate reporting and analytics vision. 

What you will do as Power BI Developer  

As a BI Developer, you'll work in a small, motivated team, building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders.  We work with stakeholders from Finance, HR, Strategy and Communications across the company. Your role involves developing and maintaining Power BI and Microsoft Fabric solutions, supporting users with reporting and analytics questions, and supporting and growing the Power BI and Fabric community. You will work closely with colleagues responsible for data engineering and data integration in Alteryx, ensuring that reliable and efficient data pipelines support reporting and analytics solutions. While these are distinct areas of expertise, there are opportunities to contribute across both disciplines, supporting continuous improvement, innovation and professional growth. 

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports, semantic models and associated data models. 
  • Stay up to date with developments in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and the broader analytics landscape, translating new capabilities into improvements in reporting solutions, data platforms and infrastructure. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and other teams to ensure data quality, reporting accuracy and effective business processes. 
  • Contribute to the adoption of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and data-driven decision making across the organisation. 
  • Promote and support the Power BI and Microsoft Fabric community by providing reliable data products, guidance, training and best practices that enable self-service reporting and empower users to create their own insights.  
  • Contribute to the prioritisation and continuous improvement of reporting and analytics initiatives. 
  • Explore, pilot and support the adoption of AI and Microsoft Copilot capabilities within Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, identifying opportunities to improve reporting, analytics, self-service capabilities and business decision making.

Our corporate analytics team (5 people) reports directly to the Corporate Controller. Our work supports all corporate support groups by providing data-driven analyses and reporting, and by supporting their digital and data-centred transformations. Our team is ultimately responsible for all corporate-wide reporting and analytical needs, as well as providing support for business-driven client reporting.  

What you bring

You are a proactive, ambitious professional, eager to learn, who will be joining the Analytics team in the position of a BI specialist. Moreover, you bring:  

  • Master of Science degree 
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in the field of business intelligence/ Analytics 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Conceptual skills 
  • Strong personality with excellent social and communication skills and a team player
