An airport

With a passion for aviation and an interest in safeguarding airport operations, you can become an expert in Security Systems at the international market leader in airport consultancy and engineering. As a Starting Security Specialist, you will work on a diverse range of security-focused systems and concepts that protect both passengers and staff, ensuring smooth and safe operations at airports worldwide.

What you do as a Junior Airport Security Systems Designer

You’ll collaborate with experienced colleagues and external stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain key security technologies and concepts that protect both passengers and staff. This includes working on Passenger Screening Systems that detect prohibited items, Staff Screening Systems that control access to restricted areas, and Security Management Information Systems providing centralized oversight of security data. You’ll also contribute to Security Access Control Systems for managing permissions to secure areas throughout the airport and Video Surveillance Systems delivering real-time monitoring for security and operational visibility.

Beyond these core systems, you’ll focus on security concepts and security lane optimization, constantly looking for ways to enhance the overall screening process. By thinking alongside the client, you’ll identify how each element of the security process—from passenger flow to technology integration—can be improved. In doing so, you’ll not only help protect airport environments and streamline operations but also play a crucial role in the success of complex airport projects.

During your projects, you’ll talk to a variety of people—such as clients, airport operators, local authorities, architects, and engineering teams—to understand what the airport needs in terms of security. You’ll then help develop and refine plans, design solutions that fit each specific airport environment. You’ll share your findings through PowerPoint presentations, formal reports, drawings, and lists of equipment. In your daily work, you’ll communicate in person or in meetings online through platforms like Microsoft Teams or email of visit the airport on location.
