Wastewater network insights and control
Efficient solutions to provide performance insights and optimise the flows from the drainage area.
Flow in brief
Efficient solutions to provide performance insights and optimise the flows from the drainage area.
Pumping stations are controlled by a virtual operator as if they are one system, improving the realisation of operational goals and improves climate resilience.
Modular, scalable and quick deploy at both existing and new plants, Aquasuite Flow learns daily flow patterns and precipitation run-off and uses a hydraulic model to optimise flows through the network into the treatment works
Wastewater network play an increasingly important role coping with the effects of climate change and stricter regulations.
Aquasuite Flow provides both insights in the hydraulic performance of pumping stations and rising mains and optimising the flows from the drainage area into the treatment works.
Smart analyses use the SCADA data to analyse the performance of pumps, the fouling rate of rising mains and compares them to design values. Together with easy-to-understand dashboards this helps to prioritise maintenance activities and ensure the reliability of the transport system.
Peak flows to the treatment works, hydraulic bottlenecks in the network and spill from the CSO are minimised by Aquasuite Flow. It uses model predictive control to optimise the network behavior by realising goals set by the operator. The knowledge of the network characteristics and the next 24 hour inflows of water allows Flow to optimise setpoint to realise the operational goals. This leads to steady flows and higher predictability.
Climate change may result in heavy rains and increased CSO spills from the network. To cope with heavy rains the wastewater network must be able to dynamically react to the weather conditions. Aquasuite FLOW allows maximising the use of the storage volumes in the network, reducing the spill volume. Depending on the network layout, the operator can protect sensitive water systems by add weigh factors that prefers spills to occur at other less sensitive locations.
The rising demand for clean water and stricter effluent quality regulations, calls for efficient solutions to treat and reuse wastewater in a sustainable and cost-effective way. Whether you need to treat municipal or commercial wastewater or industrial effluent, our solutions will meet your operational requirements and demands.
Aquasuite Flow optimises the treatment processes by limiting influent flow to the treatment works. During peak rain events Flow can limit the flow the plants design flow by maximising the usage of the sewer network storages in the network, preventing bypasses of untreated stormwater. During moderate rain events and after a rain events the influent flows can be limited to the design flow of tertiary treatment steps optimising the use of e.g. a sand filter. By setting goals for the network drainage spills can be reduced and effluent quality regulations met.
Aquasuite Flow also monitors all major components of the transport system and identifies process anomalies. It presents clear, insightful information regarding the non-compliance of capacity requirements across the entire system – ultimately detailing the condition of an individual pump. In this way, a pump or rising mains that needs maintenance can be prioritised. This allows the planning of maintenance activities and cost-effective operations for wastewater transport systems.
Aquasuite collects data from numerous data sources and provides control set points to assets automatically via existing SCADA or PLC control methods. Our aim is to be hardware agnostic and work with existing data collection and control systems.
With increasingly stringent effluent quality regulations, efficient post-treatment systems are becoming more and more important. Aquasuite Flow provides great insights and smart control, which means better management of load peaks and usage of our installed treatment steps.
