Integrating cycling into sustainable transport

Whether used as an individual transport mode or as an essential element connected to the wider public transport system. Cycling is a cheap, active and sustainable transport choice around the world. In the Netherlands – famously home to more bikes than people – we’ve been part of delivering cycling infrastructure in the form of paths, tunnels, bridges, network masterplans, and bicycle parking facilities since the 1970s. This experience helps guide our solutions as we combine them with in-depth knowledge of specific contexts around the globe. Tailoring our designs to suit local environmental conditions, infrastructure, regulations, expectations and ambitions.

Today our team of over 40 dedicated cycling experts has delivered projects ranging from the cycling highway networks in Germany to the massive bicycle parking facilities in Utrecht and helping realise Beijing’s vision to be a cycling friendly city.
