The Westpoort data centre, developed by Caransa Groep BV, is set to become a global landmark in urban data centre integration. Designed to be highly energy-efficient, it supports Amsterdam’s ambition to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2025, with residual heat supplied to nearby residential areas.
As one of Europe’s leading data centre hubs, Amsterdam continues to see rising demand. The Westpoort facility will help meet this need while contributing to the city’s energy transition. Its design also allows for repurposing, enabling a second use beyond its lifetime as a data centre.
