Haskoning appoints René de Roos as Global Director Mobility & Infrastructure

Haskoning has appointed René de Roos as Global Director Mobility & Infrastructure and member of the Executive Council as of 1 January 2026.

As Global Director Mobility & Infrastructure, René de Roos will be leading a 1,800 people strong global Business Line that plays a crucial role in shaping sustainable mobility, infrastructure and airports. In his capacity as member of the Executive Council, he will help steer the company’s overall course. Alongside this, he will take on the role of Resident Director for the Netherlands.

In 1997, René began his career at Haskoning, contributing to landmark projects and driving international growth. In 2020, he left to lead engineering firm Uticon and returned following its acquisition, taking on the role as Business Unit Director for Industry in 2024.

René succeeds Anton van der Sanden, who served as Global Director Mobility & Infrastructure and Resident Director Netherlands for 15 and 10 years. Together with colleagues and clients, he successfully contributed to progress in mobility, infrastructure, sustainability, and safety in the Netherlands and beyond. Anton will continue at Haskoning as Director Special Projects.
