Haskoning is pleased to announce the official establishment of a new office in Melbourne, marking 15 years of presence in the Australian market and reinforcing its ongoing commitment to sustainable and future-ready infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region.

This move responds to strong growth in maritime, ports, coastal and resilience activity across southern Australia. Victoria in particular is seeing significant investment in port infrastructure and offshore wind development. Haskoning is already supporting key projects in Victoria, including work for the Port of Melbourne and the Port of Hastings, helping clients address port development, decarbonisation and energy transition opportunities. The expansion also builds on the company's established work in climate resilience and water management across Australia, including flood risk and adaptation projects with local and state government.

"Fifteen years ago, we set out to build a long-term presence in Australia. Today, that commitment continues to grow. Opening an office in Melbourne allows us to work more closely with clients in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, at a time when the region is investing heavily in ports, water security and the energy transition. Our team is ready to bring practical, integrated expertise to help these projects move forward," said Malinda Facey, Managing Director and Director of Water & Maritime at Haskoning in Australia.

Haskoning's growing presence in Victoria allows it to offer further guidance and support to port authorities, energy developers, utilities and government agencies across southern Australia, particularly as the region invests in offshore wind, port automation and modernisation of their terminal infrastructure. The team's experience in Victoria already includes port development, terminal planning, coastal processes, and decarbonisation initiatives, providing a strong foundation for future growth in the region.

The Melbourne team will work closely with Haskoning's wider Australian and APAC network to deliver maritime, water and energy projects, and to support clients as they navigate the opportunities and pressures of a fast-changing infrastructure landscape. This latest expansion, reflects Haskoning's continued commitment to enhancing society together, helping clients across Australia become sustainable and future ready.

Fifteen years after establishing our presence in Australia, we are expanding in Melbourne to be even closer to the clients and communities we support.
