Haskoning achieves ‘Platinum – Top 1%’ medal in EcoVadis business sustainability assessment

02-12-2025
Demonstrating our commitment to continuous improvement in business sustainability, Haskoning has - for the second year running - secured a place in the top 1% of 130,000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability assessments.

EcoVadis measures the quality of a company's sustainability management system and its commitment to promoting transparency throughout the value chain. Its assessment model measures seven management indicators, across 21 sustainability criteria in four core themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Across all four themes, we received full scores (100/100) for our ‘actions and measures’. Our overall platinum score improved from 84/100 in 2024 to 86/100 in 2025.

Praise was awarded to our strong environmental policies and actions, including leadership in carbon management and providing environmental impact assessments for projects with the use of our purpose matrix.

Elsewhere, our commitment to employee health, safety, and labour rights was highlighted, along with supporting (exceptional) policies and certifications, and the endorsement of the Women's Empowerment Principles.

We also improved labour and human rights and sustainable purchasing, with clear exceptional policies and supplier standards on ethics and the environment.

Push our standards ever higher

This achievement of a second Platinum EcoVadis medal is the result of the shared commitment across Haskoning to sustainability, responsible business practices and our purpose of Enhancing Society Together. One of the many strengths of the EcoVadis assessment is its actionable scorecard and how it helps us to identify where we can do better. So while we do reflect on our success, our focus now is really on what we need to do next to push our standards ever higher.
