What will you do
- Review and provide recommendations on design documents, calculations, drawings, specifications, equipment datasheets, protection schemes, and technical submissions related to electrical infrastructure.
- Monitor construction and installation of transmission lines, EHV/HV substations, receiving substations, switching stations, distribution substations, underground cable networks, overhead lines, and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Review and monitor construction of electrical facilities including transformers, GIS substations, RMUs, HT/LT distribution systems, capacitor banks, protection systems, SCADA systems, and metering arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with standards and requirements of CEA, CBIP, IS Codes, IEC Standards, Electricity Act, Grid Codes, and applicable utility regulations.
- Coordinate with transmission and distribution utilities, including MSETCL, MSEDCL, STU, CTU, and other statutory authorities for approvals, clearances, inspections, energisation, and system integration.
- Review EPC Contractor submissions related to load assessment, power demand, network planning, redundancy requirements, reliability studies, fault calculations, protection coordination, and power quality analysis.
- Monitor procurement, manufacturing, factory testing, inspection, transportation, installation, and commissioning of major electrical equipment and materials.
- Witness and review Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), pre-commissioning tests, relay testing, transformer testing, cable testing, and system performance tests.
- Monitor contractor compliance with approved construction methodologies, quality plans, testing procedures, safety requirements, and commissioning protocols.
- Review project schedules and monitor progress of electrical works, identifying potential delays, interface issues, and implementation risks.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, utility, ICT, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall project infrastructure.
- Review technical deviations, variation proposals, change requests, and value engineering proposals submitted by the EPC Contractor and assess their impact on performance, reliability, and lifecycle cost.
- Monitor commissioning, energisation, reliability testing, and performance demonstration of transmission and distribution assets and verify achievement of design intent and contractual performance requirements.
- Prepare technical review reports, progress assessments, risk registers, and recommendations for PMC and Client management regarding project status, compliance, risks, and corrective actions.
- Support implementation of renewable energy, smart utility, digital monitoring, and centralized control systems, while advising the Client on technical, operational, reliability, and project delivery risks.

What you bring
Qualification & Skills Requirement:
1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
2. Master's Degree in Power Systems Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering shall be preferred.
3. Professional certification in Power Systems, Project Management, or Electrical Utility Engineering shall be desirable.
4. Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
Experience Requirement:
1. Minimum 15 years of professional experience in construction, testing, and commissioning of electrical transmission and distribution infrastructure.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior role with a PMC, Owner's Engineer or EPC Contractor on large infrastructure or industrial development projects.
3. Demonstrated experience in EHV/HV substations, receiving stations, transmission lines, distribution networks, underground cable systems, and electrical utility infrastructure.
4. Proven experience in utility coordination, obtaining statutory approvals, power evacuation systems, grid connectivity, system integration, and energization activities.
5. Experience in reviewing electrical designs, conducting technical evaluations, overseeing testing and commissioning, and managing contractor performance for large industrial, urban infrastructure, or utility projects.
