What will you do

THE ROLE:

• Requires a professional engineer (PE) license, a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, and extensive experience in plumbing and fire protection system design. The role involves leading engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and providing technical guidance.
• Take a Leading Role in the Engineering design team for executing of mono- (or multi) disciplinary Engineering activities.
• Responsible for the preparation and completion of design and engineering deliverables (drawings, models, schedules and technical specifications).

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Develop detailed designs, specifications, and engineering drawings for plumbing and fire protection systems, including hydraulic calculations and simulations.
• Manage projects from concept to completion, including cost estimation, scheduling, and procurement.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to fire safety.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients, contractors, and other engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work effectively with architects, contractors, and other disciplines to integrate plumbing and fire protection systems into the overall project.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing and fire protection systems.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection detailed design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong understanding of plumbing and fire protection systems, hydraulic calculations, codes and standards, and project management.
• Proficiency in using software for fire protection hydraulic calculations.
