Reporting to the Associate Director Advisory Group, the Environmental & Social Specialist is responsible to provide support in social and environmental projects and to ensure that projects are implemented a sustainable manner, as well as to ensure the implementation of the following;
• Supervise and lead field teams;
• Prepare technical and financial proposals;
• Prepare social studies, resettlement plans, compensation plan and livelihood recovery;
• Evaluate Environmental and Social Impact
• Elaborate Reports
• Prepare and implement qualitative and quantitative social methodologies
• Conduct stakeholder identification & manage processes
• Perform environmental and social impact assessments and do feasibility studies
• Perform public consultations
• Perform audits, due diligence in projects related to infrastructure, energy, maritime and costal sectors
• Execute a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods in the environmental and social field, in accordance with the national and international recognized standards
• Coordinate environmental studies & evaluate impact
• Coordinating resettlement processes, including the measurement of tangible and intangible losses
