Senior Consultant - Port Masterplanning and Strategic Development

What you do as a Senior Consultant - Port Masterplanning and Strategic Development

     You will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of complex maritime projects from master planning, feasibility studies, to detailed engineering design. You will drive the development of projects in consultation with stakeholders and internal experts, using the latest technical development and digital tools.

     You will work on the assessment and development of ports, terminals, jetties, and harbors for a wide range of sectors and commodities, including containers, bulk, and general cargo. You will approach port planning from an engineering perspective and will work closely with other parts of the business that focus on the environment, social, commercial, institutional, and other aspects of port development.

We provide them with a range of services throughout the various phases of a project: from inception, through master planning, feasibility, design all the way to construction management. What you bring

Responsibilities:

  • develop port master plans, feasibility studies to concept design for large and small ports, for our portfolio of clients, including government agencies and commercial global terminal operators
  • planning and engineering of small as well as large, complex projects in different phases and on different degrees of details
  • contributing to the digitalization and innovation of port and terminal development
  • engaging with the global maritime team, including our Smart and Green Ports team and Port Automation team to come up with solutions
  • contribute to proposal writing and project management
  • performing client audits, surveys, and workshops
  • preparation of high-quality reports, presentation, and workshops
  • promotion of the work of the team within the company and at industry events

Requirements:

  • master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering/Planning or other relevant field
  • licensed Philippine Civil Engineer
  • at least 10 years of maritime engineering experience
  • must have at least 5 years of experience working within an engineering consultancy firm
  • project management experience is valued
  • proven experience in working on master plans, studies and/or design of port infrastructure projects
  • proven experience of collaborative working in teams and with other disciplines
  • external network of port industry clients is valued
  • capable of undertaking assignments effectively to achieve technically sound, timely, and cost-effective results
  • experience of terminal automation would be advantageous
  • knowledge of and experience with the latest developments in smart ports, green ports, and related automation is valued
  • excellent communication skills in English language (written and verbal)
