     We are looking for a capable maritime structural engineer to join our Water & Maritime team, supporting the design and delivery of marine and hydraulic structures from concept to  detailed design. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams on both local and international projects, contributing to robust, buildable solutions while continuing to develop your technical and professional skills.

 

What you do as a maritime structural engineer (mid-level)

     Applying your structural engineering expertise will be at the core of your day-to-day work. You will be involved in the design and delivery of maritime and hydraulic structures, including:

  • structural design of quay walls, jetties, and mooring facilities
  • design of river and hydraulic structures such as embankments, weirs, and locks
  • development of concept and detailed designs for port and waterway infrastructure
  • preparation of design calculations, technical specifications, and engineering reports
  • assessment and rehabilitation design of existing maritime structures
  • coordination with multidisciplinary teams across hydraulic, geotechnical, nautical, and mechanical disciplines
  • contribution to practical, safe, and buildable engineering solutions aligned with project requirements
  • support in delivering projects on time and within budget

General and Specific Responsibilities:

  • support feasibility studies and develop concept designs for maritime and hydraulic structures
  • deliver structural designs for steel and concrete structures such as quay walls, jetties, and other port infrastructure
  • carry out site inspections, structural assessments, and condition surveys
  • develop and review structural analysis models to support design decisions
  • prepare and review technical specifications, design criteria, and engineering documentation
  • develop 3D models and drawings in coordination with CAD/BIM teams and verify outputs for accuracy and constructability
  • coordinate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions
  • support project management activities, including planning, deliverable tracking, and quality assurance
  • contribute to the preparation of technical, commercial, and financial proposals
  • prepare technical reports, presentations, and workshop materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • provide engineering support to construction management teams during project execution


Requirements:

  • master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
  • licensed Civil Engineer in the Philippines
  • minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design within a consultancy environment
  • familiar with structural analysis and design software (e.g. SAP2000, STAAD Pro)
  • exposure to the design of maritime and hydraulic structures (e.g. ports, quay walls, jetties) is preferred (structural engineers with experience in non-maritime fields are also welcome to apply)
  • familiar with international design standards (e.g. NSCP, BS, Eurocodes, American Standards)
  • experience working with BIM/Revit environments across multiple projects
  • knowledge of scripting or automation (e.g. VBA, Dynamo, Python) is an advantage
  • able to work under pressure while maintaining quality and compliance with company QA systems
  • capable of managing tasks effectively to deliver technically sound, timely, and cost-effective outputs
  • willing to travel as required for project assignments
  • relevant experience in the port and maritime infrastructure sector (design, construction, or operations) is an advantage
  • excellent English language skills (written and verbal)
