What you do as a Lead Structural Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres)
As a Lead Structural Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres), you will work with some of the most demanding global clients and collaborate with colleagues worldwide. Our Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) projects require advanced expertise beyond standard building features, allowing you to leverage skills in areas like Parametric Design, Automated Engineering, and Augmented Design. You will play a key role in challenging projects, primarily datacenters in Germany, within an internationally expanding engineering and consultancy firm focused on digital transformation. Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform calculations for complex steel, concrete, and timber structures, collaborating with the Consulting Engineer on designs;
- Handle and resolve complex technical client queries in cooperation with the Consulting Engineer;
- Conduct checks and attend meetings with clients and contractors during project execution;
- Collaborate with colleagues and third parties on parts of the structural design and ensure technical and budgetary adherence;
- Review calculations and drawings, and manage your own project administration and archiving.

As our new Lead Structural Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres) you will become part of the team Mission Critical Facilities. Our global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team provides a multidisciplinary package of consultancy services for our datacenter clients. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational advice to our clients, including colocation datacentres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Our team consists of colleagues with all kinds of different expertise. For example, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology. What you bring
You are an entrepreneurial, results-oriented professional with a proactive mindset. You combine technical expertise with strong problem-solving and communication skills, ensuring high-quality designs and effective collaboration with clients and teams. Besides, you possess the following:

MSc in Structural or Civil Engineering – to apply advanced knowledge in structural design and ensure technical excellence;

At least 7 years of experience in Germany – to bring proven expertise in local consultancy or engineering environments;

Strong knowledge of German (DIN) standards – essential for compliant and efficient structural design;

Proficiency in 3D calculation and design software – for accurate modeling and analysis of complex structures;

Fluency in German and English, and willingness to travel – needed for smooth communication and regular collaboration with teams in Germany, Budapest, and Nijmegen.
