Our Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team is internationally recognised for delivering high-performance, resilient and sustainable data centre solutions for hyperscale, colocation and enterprise clients.
As Southeast Asia continues to experience rapid digital infrastructure growth, we are strengthening our regional MCF leadership capability and are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to drive technical excellence and delivery performance across major developments in APAC.
We welcome both international and local candidates. The successful candidate will be based in either Ho Chi Minh City or Jakarta. Given the regional scope of the position, periodic travel between these locations will be required.
What will you do
- Serve as the mechanical technical authority for data centre projects, ensuring resilience, compliance, and technical excellence.
- Lead the design and coordination of critical cooling systems: chilled water plants, cooling towers/dry coolers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, and heat‑rejection systems.
- Develop and review cooling plant capacity calculations, load assessments, diversity strategies, and energy‑efficiency approaches (PUE/WUE).
- Oversee thermal modelling and coordinate CFD analysis.
- Collaborate with the MEP Design Manager, Project Manager, and Controls teams to ensure integrated mechanical‑controls functionality.
- Lead mechanical design reviews to ensure quality, constructability, maintainability, and compliance with local codes and global mission‑critical standards (Uptime Institute, TIA‑942, ASHRAE).
- Establish mechanical standards, best practices, and QA/QC processes for the MCF team.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, reports, and employer’s requirements.
- Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and proposals; support procurement and tender evaluations.
- Represent the company in client meetings, workshops, FATs, and site testing & commissioning.
- Mentor and develop mechanical engineers, supporting capability building across the APAC MCF team.
- Contribute to business development through technical input, presentations, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain strong collaboration with global teams (NL, GER & UK).
- Manage and deliver mechanical work packages across multiple projects.
