What you do as a Junior Project Manager - Water & Maritime

     As a junior project manager - water and maritime, you will have a solid technical background in water and/or maritime projects and will work alongside our senior project managers and technical teams to deliver impactful projects. You will support through all stages of projects from writing proposals to development of concept and detailed designs, leading to construction management. Your role will be a mix of work, both in the office and on the site, delivering within a team and working with our clients.

     Our Philippine office consists of colleagues based in our main office Makati and across project sites. Our clients range from government bodies, development institutions (World Bank, ADB, etc.) to private developers. We provide them with a range of services throughout the various phases of a project: from inception, through master planning, feasibility, design all the way to construction management. What you bring

Responsibilities:
As a junior project manager - water and maritime, you will be supporting the delivery of projects in a dynamic and innovative way, this will include:

  • supporting our business developers and clients to identify project needs, draft proposals, and win work
  • carrying out internal project controls e.g. planning, cost, risk and quality management
  • ensuring all project administration and contract management processes are followed
  • initiating, overseeing, and appraising the delivery of studies, concept, detailed design, and construction contract documents
  • liaison with clients, relevant authorities, contractors, and specialist consultants on administrative and technical subjects
  • supporting in ensuring project deliverables meet client and Haskoning’s expectations
  • assist in client meetings and communications to gain exposure to stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals by coordinating inputs from technical teams and ensuring timely submission 

Requirements:

  • master’s degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field
  • licensed Philippine Civil Engineer
  • at least +5 years’ experience in water or maritime engineering within a consultancy firm
  • at least 2 year’s of project management experience
  • experience with writing proposals, planning, and running small projects
  • capable of undertaking assignments to achieve technically sound, timely, and cost-effective results
  • experience working with multidisciplinary teams and exposure to international development institutions (e.g., ADB, World Bank) is a plus
  • familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar) is desirable
