
Haskoning is looking for a junior drainage engineer to join our growing team in Makati, to technically support the hydrologic/hydraulic modelling and design of projects related to (flood) resiliency to mitigate pluvial, fluvial, and coastal flooding. What you do as a Junior Drainage Engineer
As a junior drainage engineer, you will focus on hydrologic and hydraulic modelling of river basins and drainage networks to identify and provide solutions to the flood risk issues of our clients. You will be involved through different stages of projects, from site investigation, data analysis, developing concept and detailed designs, and construction management. The role will be a mix of office and on-site works, working alongside skilled and experienced national and international colleagues. Key responsibilities will include:
- developing the hydrologic modelling, hydraulic modelling and drainage design of various projects at the concept, master planning, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and design phases
- providing analysis, troubleshooting, and interpretation of hydrologic/hydraulic modelling for river basins and drainage networks using various software
- contribute to the production of assessments, studies, designs, and reports
- produce drawings and models using Civil3D and other software
- supervision of onsite works and/or site investigations
- undertaking other tasks within the field of maritime, geotechnical, coastal and rivers engineering, and site management or according to the wider business needs

What you bring
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum requirement:
- bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (civil engineering board passer is a must)
- at least 2 - 3 years of consultancy experience in flood risk management and mitigation, with focus on hydrologic and hydraulic modelling
- knowledge in GIS, hydrologic, and hydraulic modelling software (e.g. HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, TUFLOW, ICM)
Desirable:
- post graduate qualifications / specialization in civil / water resources engineering water resources, and coastal processes
