Our Water Vietnam AG is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to carry out the water resources management and flood risk management studies. You will also be responsible for developing and validating hydrological and hydraulic models, flood models, writing reports for the calculations and working with GIS data, maps, and AutoCAD drawings.
What will you do
- Work as a project manager, project expert and/or technical lead performing the project of water resources management, flood risk management, and hydrological - hydraulic modelling.
- Perform the hydrological - hydraulic computations by using hydrological model, 1D or 2D hydraulic models or coupling models.
- Plan, schedule, or coordinate the project implementation, preparation of hydrological - hydraulic models and engineering reports.
- Understand and work with hydrologic, surveying, geotechnical, and other relevant data to build a framework for systems modelling and design.
- Provide mentorship to other colleagues about modelling technique.
- Support team leaders in project development and making project proposals.
- Translate reports from English to Vietnamese and vice versa.
- Perform other duties as needed.

What you bring
- Master’s degree in water resources engineering, civil engineering or a related field required. Higher degree is an advantage.
- Experience in the project management / team leader of water resources projects, flood risk management projects.
- Proficiency with some of hydrological – hydraulic models such as: MIKE models (NAM, MIKE 11 / MIKE Hydro River / MIKE21 / MIKE Urban / MIKE Flood / MIKE Plus), SWAT model, HEC-HSM, HEC-RAS, SOBEK, SWMM, etc.
- Experience with GIS desktop software, AutoCad.
- Knowledge of Flood Early Warning System is preferred.
- Good verbal and communication English.
