In this role you combine data engineer, real‑world engineering applications, and hands‑on international project work. You’ll have real ownership, broad responsibility, and the chance to work on cutting‑edge digital services solutions for airports across the globe. Such solutions include runway condition monitoring and digital twins. If you enjoy variety, learning fast, and making visible impact, this is a role where you can grow with the organisation.
What you do as a Digital Services Engineer
As a Digital Services Engineer, you will primarily work within the Runway Condition Reporting (RCR) team, alongside other digital projects. You combine programming, data engineering, and hands‑on technical work while helping to operate the RCR-Tool© service and further develop its capabilities. In this role, you link theoretical aspects of programming with practical solutions for real‑world use and operational environments.
Because the RCR team is relatively small, you play a key role in both executing technical work and coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders, such as colleagues, suppliers, and airport clients.
Your day‑to‑day work includes:
- Building and improving data pipelines and software components;
- Working with sensor data and helping keep systems running smoothly;
- Provide operational support for existing clients;
- Supporting websites and backend services together with the team;
- Assisting with international RCR installations alongside colleagues and suppliers.
- Coordinating tasks and collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders to successfully complete activities.
In addition to your RCR work, you also contribute to other digital and engineering initiatives, such as digital twin projects.
