     Haskoning Philippines is looking for a dynamic business development officer (water and maritime) to join our team in Makati and support our growing business.

What you do as a Business Development Officer – Water & Maritime

     As a business development officer – water and maritime, you will be a key supporting role to our project managers and business developers such as finding and winning work within the Philippines. You will closely work with the Business Development team, support in interactions with clients and technical teams to pull together proposals that lead to winning exciting projects.

     Our Philippine office consists of colleagues based in our main office Makati and across project sites. Our clients range from government bodies, development institutions (World Bank, ADB, etc.) to private developers. We provide them with a range of services throughout the various phases of a project: from inception, through master planning, feasibility, design all the way to construction management. What you bring

Responsibilities:
As a business development officer – water and maritime, you will:

  • identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and industry events
  • support our project managers and business developers to carry out market analysis and make business plans to map out soft order portfolio
  • attend meeting with clients together with the business development directors, supporting them in recording and taking key actions
  • monitor and regularly updating information within our CRM system for all business development activities from the Business Development team (e.g. leads, proposals, client contact information, etc.) (following up to ensure actions are taken in time)
  • monitor and regularly updating the information for all business development documentation (e.g. brochures, project references, CVs, presentations, etc.)
  • set up and maintain templates and forms used for our business development activities
  • draft documents under the supervision of business developers i.e. EOIs, proposals, etc.
  • ensure proposals meet client requirements and internal quality standards, coordinating inputs from technical and commercial teams
  • assist in evaluating opportunities and preparing inputs for bid/no-bid decisions

Qualifications and Experience:
To qualify for this role, you should have the following:

 

  • relevant Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or other relevant degree
  • minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • knowledgeable of CRM (Client Resource Management) systems
  • basic knowledge of related disciplines (data analytics, IT, and risk management)
  • excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
