Business Analyst

We are recruiting for the Business Analyst role for Ocean Shipping Consultants (OSC), a specialist Haskoning unit.

Ocean Shipping Consultants is the maritime business consultancy group of Haskoning and is a leading brand in the maritime sector. What will you do

You are part of an (international) project team with people from different disciplines (commercial, technical, operations, financial, environmental). We understand the client's needs and formulate an approach that achieves their objectives. You will join Haskoning Indonesia's Water & Maritime team, supporting local and international consulting projects across ports, maritime infrastructure, logistics, coastal development, and the wider water sector. Working alongside engineers, consultants, economists, and project managers, you will help clients solve complex business and strategic challenges.

You work on multiple projects, covering assets classes in the maritime and supply chain industry. The work is fast-paced and distinctly different as you cover different countries. You maintain close contact with your colleagues to ensure that activities are optimally coordinated. KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Conduct market, industry, and business research for water and maritime projects.
• Analyse market trends, customer demand, competitors, and industry developments.
• Support feasibility studies, business cases, and strategic advisory projects.
• Gather, analyse, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and international project teams.
• Support client meetings and project coordination.

Where you will work

You will become part of Haskoning Indonesia's Water & Maritime team based in South Jakarta, Indonesia. You will supporting advisory projects by developing business analyses for ports, maritime infrastructure, logistics, coastal developments, and other water-related investments.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Maritime, or another analytical discipline.
• Fresh graduates or up to 2 years of experience in consulting, research, strategy, or business analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural teams.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience in water, maritime, logistics, transport, or infrastructure sectors.
• Knowledge of GIS, Power BI, Tableau, or other analytical tools.
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA/MSc).
