What will you do
We help our clients by providing insight into their operations to identify the potential for energy reduction measures, through in-depth data analysis and technical knowhow. We provide the clients with alternatives which can include changes in production processes, modification of equipment or replacement of equipment. We also advise on transition to renewable energy. We show the financial and environmental impacts to our clients.
As medior Industrial Decarbonisation Consultant – Process & Thermal Systems:
- You are active in the world of industry and engineering.
- You lead small projects with a specialist and cooperate with other disciplines.
- You work on projects that consist of feasibility studies and conceptual designs of energy systems and advise industries on reducing energy use and sustainable generation. You have a focus on process or mechanical thermal equipment and also have an eye for the financial metrics.
- You are aware of the latest developments and translate this into a vision for our industrial clients in the short and longer term.
- You can recognise questions from clients and formulate a good solution direction together with the client and convert this into a project.
- You are familiar using data and analytics (incl. sensoring) in your work and understand the value for project deliverables
- You advise different (management) layers of our clients through presentations and powerful reports.
- You can connect your own work with other sustainability and engineering disciplines.
- You build and maintain your network and represent Haskoning at events and meetings with customers.
Where you will work
Haskonings 6500 employees work in 140 countries from our 30 offices worldwide. The Advisory Group where you will work is part of the Business Unit Industry & Energy. Within this unit, enthusiastic and energetic colleagues work day in and day out for our clients in the field of energy, environment, safety and sustainability. The Energy & Process advisory group consists of more than 80 employees who work from our offices in the Netherlands. We work worldwide, but our base is in the Netherlands. Our clients include medium-sized companies, but also the large multinationals.
You will be working from our office in Jakarta, Indonesia. You will be pioneering and growing our decarbonisation services in the APAC region with close support from your group in the Netherlands. In Jakarta, you will closely collaborate with our decarbonisation team and collaborate more than 200 colleagues working in industrial, maritime and water projects.
What you bring
We are looking for a consultant with the following characteristics:
- You have a technical university background in mechanical, process or chemical engineering.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in the industrial and energy world.
- You have broad knowledge of the operation of industrial energy and process installations, how they can be optimized energetically and how new sustainable energy techniques can be integrated. Here you combine knowledge of technology and (business) economics.
- Experience in sustainability certifications is advantageous.
- You can present and report well and are convincing in terms of content.
- You are able to distinguish main from side issues, feel comfortable in an informally operating team.
- You are able to independently go through a commercial process with the customer;
- You are willing to travel from time to time.
- Your English language skills are excellent. Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is preferred.
