
We are looking for a skilled Environmental & Social (E&S) GIS and Mapping Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will lead the development of high quality spatial analyses and mapping products that support environmental assessments, conservation planning, and natural resource management. What will you do
- Conduct advanced geospatial analyses to support environmental, ecological, and social assessments.
- Perform viewshed and lineofsight analyses using GIS and terrain modelling, particularly for evaluating sensitive receptors (e.g., critical habitat, residential areas, scenic viewpoints, cultural sites).
- Develop highquality maps, figures, and presentation materials to communicate visual and spatial findings to clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain spatial datasets (topography, land cover, infrastructure, habitat layers, receptors), ensuring data accuracy, metadata completeness, and proper archiving.
- Collaborate closely with environmental engineers, social specialists, biodiversity experts, and other disciplines to ensure GIS outputs meet project needs.

What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Science, Geography, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Ecology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on GIS experience (ArcGIS or QGIS).
- Strong skills in spatial modeling, geostatistics, and remote sensing applications.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and technical documentation abilities.
- Strong English writing and presentation skills.
Preferred
- Experience in EIA/AMDAL/ESIA processes; familiarity with IFC Performance Standards.
- Knowledge of terrestrial and marine ecological mapping, habitat classification, and biodiversity sensitivity analysis.
